South Ward Healthy Beginnings
South Ward Healthy Beginnings is a program within the South Ward Promise Neighborhood, located in Newark, New Jersey. It is designed to provide accessible quality maternity care, support families with ensuring children are kindergarten ready, and create career pathways in maternal health.
South Ward Wellness Center
The South Ward Wellness Center is a collaborative initiative between South Ward Promise Neighborhood and Saint James Health, founded to address an increased need for health care access in the community, with a specific focus on maternal care for expectant mothers.
Family Village
The program’s goal is to revitalize the neighborhood by buying vacant, abandoned, distressed, foreclosed properties and rehabilitate them into clean, functional, stable, and cost effective living solutions.
Career Pathways
Our mission is to help you overcome barriers to obtaining a good-paying job in the South Ward of Newark, NJ. We provide education, training, and support so that you can build a career path that leads to financial stability.
Gateway U
A hybrid non-traditional college degree program that leads to careers in management, communications, healthcare management, and teaching.
Enroll Today
Together with families and the community, Gateway Academy Charter School nurtures students’ intellect and identities in order to prepare them to graduate from college and chart their own course. Enrollment for the 2024-2025 academic year begins on December 1st.
