An ally of BRICK, The South Ward Children’s Alliance is a community-based organization in the South Ward of Newark, NJ that gives families the resources they need for their children to thrive in both school and life. Their vision is that all children have an unimpeded path to unlock their limitless potential.

The operations team manages all non-instructional functions, services, and staff so that the instructional team can maintain an intense focus on education and student achievement and intensify instructional time.

The Family Hub develops a comprehensive case management services that provides free advocacy and coordination of services, crisis-intervention services, housing assistance, and guidance and support with food security and medical/mental health referrals. They also work with families to ensure that they have a patient-centered medical home for themselves and their children; ensuring that their health issues are caught soon and any problems will be effectively managed.
