Our BRICK Family Allies provide children’s caregivers with the resources necessary to maintain stable and healthy homes. We understand that if a child is hungry, has a toothache or doesn’t have a permanent place to live, they won’t be able to learn – no matter how great of a school environment we create. These traumas not only impact students’ academic success, but their life outcomes, as well.

If caregivers need tutoring, medical care or therapy for their children, we connect them with the community organizations that meet their needs. And we support caregivers in growing as nurturers. We walk alongside them as they learn how to best support their children as scholars. Our BRICK Family Ally in Newark, the South Ward Children’s Alliance, is emblematic of our success in this work. The Alliance has helped hundreds of families put their children on a path to success.
