South Ward Promise Neighborhood

In December 2017, the U.S. Department of Education awarded the South Ward Children’s Alliance a $30 million Promise Neighborhood grant to bring together partners from around Newark to serve South Ward’s families over the next five years. Through this funding, the collective is expanding and deepening programs to lift families and children – together. The South Ward Promise Neighborhood meets the academic, social, emotional and health and well-being needs of children by serving them alongside their families. Learn More About Our First Year
