As the coronavirus continues to spread across the United States, BRICK Education Network has joined forces with the Harlem Children's Zone (HCZ) in the on-going Covid-19 response. We know that with higher rates of chronic health conditions, limited access to healthcare and greater economic insecurity, communities of color are among those hardest hit by the coronavirus. Many of our workers on the frontlines come from neighborhoods, like the South Ward of Newark, with the fewest resources, like face masks, to not only care for themselves and their closest ones, but to do their job of protecting us all.

BRICK is one of a handful of organizations nationwide, and the only one in the Northeast region selected to participate in HCZ's national #StayCoveredTogether campaign. In addition to providing masks to some of the most vulnerable communities, the campaign aims to educate everyone on the proper way to wear a mask.

So, stay smart on local guidelines, keep at least six feet of distance from others, and when you go out, wear a mask. Do your part, every time, for everyone.
